First
few days: Footings are in place. |
Closer
view of the footing walls... |
Firring
strips are added during the "pour". This allows easy fastening
of wood trim in instances
such as this, where you might have a significant "reveal"
of concrete above the grade level. |
Foundation
"cap slab" is poured, concrete "grade beam"
in place for deck, sidewalls for solarium are roughed in. |
Second
week: Deck surface installed (hot tub too). Preparing existing exterior
wall and eaves for demolition. |
The
eaves, prior to alteration. |
The
eaves have been cut back to accommodate the header beam, which will
be installed next. |
The
header beam in place and being secured. |
Nearly
complete: The shingle roof is tied in and the siding is matched to
the home's style & color. |
Operational
window and skylights will provide ample ventilation. |
